Harp teacher Dawn EganDAWN EGAN

Dawn Egan has taught Celtic harp since 1996, including three years for the Mitchell Conservatorium of Music in Bathurst. Dawn's repertoire includes the beautiful tunes of Turlough O'Carolan.

Dawn gives harp lessons to children as young as six and adults of any age.

Fees: Lessons at the School: 1/2 hour $45 / 1-hour $80, payable by bank transfer.

Biography: Dawn Egan grew up in the Central West town of Bathurst NSW, where she began playing the guitar and singing folk songs in local halls and coffee shops at the age of fifteen. After settling in the Blue Mountains in 1983, Dawn took up the Celtic harp and began working professionally with guitarist, Nigel Foote, playing over 1000 gigs in the Mountains and Sydney region in the next ten years.

Dawn has recorded six albums, including four CDs of Celtic harp tunes for the ABC Music label for which she received two ARIA nominations.
