Guitar Lessons

  • Nigel is taking a break in 2023 (to work on some unfinished projects)  

  • Lessons: We are available for lessons every week of the year except for the Christmas break. Children usually have 1/2 hour lessons and attend during school terms, but they are welcome to have extra lessons during the holidays if they wish. Adults may choose to have either weekly 1/2 hour lessons or 1-hour lessons on a weekly or fortnightly basis throughout the year. We don't offer monthly lessons except to students who travel from outside the Blue Mountains region (eg; Sydney or Bathurst). Past students, who attended for five years or more and who would like to fine-tune their playing, may book in for monthly or seasonal lessons.
     
  •  We are conveniently located opposite Blackheath Railway Station.
     
  • Lesson Times – Nigel and Dawn: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (1:00–6:00 PM)  and Saturday (8:00 AM–4:00 PM).

    Martin teaches online on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (2:00–7:00 PM, depending on his AIM commitments)
     
  • Lesson Fees: 1/2 hour $45 / 1-hour $80.
     
  • Payment: Guitar Students pay for online guitar lessons, in advance, via the PayPal buttons on our website (for 5 lessons at a time).
     
    Harp Students: please pay for online lessons by bank transfer (contact Dawn).
     
  • Please Note: We allow one missed lesson per term (which must be paid for or caught up within a fortnight). Unlike most schools, we do not require a terms payment in advance, however, to keep our business viable we appreciate prompt action regarding missed lessons.
     
  • Nigel, Dawn and Martin all have a current Working With Children Check certificate.
     
  • When coming for lessons, please park on our side of Bradley Avenue and come in through that entrance (not Station Street).
